I had never done a lot of regular yoga, let along hot yoga, but this place was close to my house so I bought a yelp deal and prepared for the worst. I had no towel, no mat, no yoga clothes, but I was determined to make it work out and assumed I'd buy everything when I got there. Thank goodness they allow you to rent all of those things (except for the clothes, of course)! I told who-ever was at the sign in desk that today was going to be my first session and they gave me all the helpful tips, even told me that I might cry or feel sorry for myself but all that was normal. They also let me know that if I got lost in the poses I could look at my neighbors and see what they were doing. This was very helpful advice because I really should be wearing contacts because I have such horrible eyesight, and one of my initial worries was about being able to see myself clearly in the mirror.
Don't worry, I wear glasses when I drive.
